Parenting In The Now:

Parenting defined is a process of raising, promoting, and supporting the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of a child to adulthood and across the lifespan.  As those of us that have this job know that it is no small feat.

However, we try to develop unique ways to be successful at parenting.  Just as each child is unique, each person is unique at their parenting skills.  Some children are very easy to parent others are more challenging to parent. There is no specific set of instructions for each child. So how do parents successfully do their job? In as much as we want to do our job of parenting well, children look to us for guidance. As parents, a key factor to consider is that we must be consistent and not wavering in our guidance. This shows your child that you are confident and builds their trust in you. This also helps children take you seriously.
